Summary
We are searching for an organized, people-oriented professional excited for a dynamic role as the UCSC Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program Coordinator.
The person in this role will provide essential administrative support in an undergraduate fellowship program that seeks to grow diverse leadership to strengthen conservation. As a two-year program, we focus on impactful mentorship, inquiry-based learning, and professional experiences for 40 exceptional students across the country each year. Under the direction of the Program Director, the coordinator will manage program finances, organize multi-day events, coordinate travel, lodging, and payments, and support student needs during internships. This position is 16 hours per week (with flexibility for overtime if agreed upon) and can be remote, hybrid, or in-person. There are three to four essential trips per year (with funded travel) to support Scholar events in the San Francisco Bay area. The initial appointment is for 5 months, with the possibility of extension and increased hours. Salary starts at $24.64/hour and is commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience. The anticipated start date is January 15th, 2023.
