This is an opportunity to play a key role in a growing, mission-driven environmental education program while working in the unique setting of a nearly 400-acre nature preserve. The Program Administrator and Registrar will have meaningful ownership of the systems and operations that connect thousands of children, families, schools, and community members with nature each year. The position offers a diverse mix of responsibilities, close collaboration with a dedicated team, opportunities to improve programs and processes, competitive benefits, professional development, and the satisfaction of seeing your work directly support conservation and environmental education.

Summary

Help make meaningful environmental education experiences possible. Tenafly Nature Center (TNC) is seeking a highly organized and motivated Program Administrator and Registrar to join our Education Department and support the systems, people, and logistics behind our growing environmental education programs. Located just five miles north of the George Washington Bridge in Tenafly, NJ, TNC stewards nearly 400 acres of protected forest, wetlands, trails, and pond habitat while providing hands-on environmental education for thousands of children, families, schools, scouts, and community members each year.

Working closely with the Education Director, the Program Administrator and Registrar serves as a central operational resource for a busy, year-round Education Department. This position coordinates program scheduling and registration, participant and partner communications, staffing logistics, CRM and program records, and other administrative systems supporting field trips, outreach programs, camps, scout programs, family and adult programs, and special events. The role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, enjoys improving systems and solving problems, and wants their administrative and operational expertise to directly support environmental education and community engagement.

TNC is looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple priorities while building strong relationships with educators, schools, families, and community partners.
