Works with the visitor services team to gain experience in the operations of a safe, welcoming and well balanced visitor services program. This position is stationed in Newport, Oregon.

Summary

Time range for the position May 1–August 30, 2023

Duties include: 

-Provide informal interpretation for visitors on the seabirds and marine mammals of the Oregon Islands NWR at multiple locations along the Oregon Coast 
-Assist with communication, outreach, and marketing for the Refuge Complex through a variety of media
-Work alongside refuge volunteers
-Help protect wildlife and ensure visitor safety within the Refuge Complex
-Assist with trail maintenance

-$1,600 monthly living stipend
