Summary
Mass Audubon's Wildwood Camp is hiring for multiple positions for the 2025 summer camp season. Please apply directly to the linked job postings on our site. Open positions include:
Ropes Course Director: The Ropes Course Director supervises the ropes course staff and all aspects of Wildwood’s challenge course programs including high and low elements, and teambuilding activities. As part of the camp leadership team, the Ropes Course Director supports residential cabin unit campers and their counselors to have a safe, fun, and enriching experience at camp.
Waterfront Director: The Waterfront Director supervises the waterfront staff and all aspects of Wildwood’s waterfront program including swimming, sailing, canoeing, kayaking and recreational water activities. As part of the camp leadership team, the Waterfront Director supports residential cabin unit campers and their counselors to have a safe, fun, and enriching experience at camp.
Teen and Trip Program Coordinator: This position is responsible for facilitating all aspects of Teen Adventure Trips and overseeing the Counselors-in-Training (CITs). This position is responsible for all aspects of trip planning and logistics, and trip staff oversight. The Teen & Trips Coordinator is also responsible for responding to emergencies, facilitating resupplies, or substituting for a Trip Leader when necessary. The Teen & Trips Coordinator is also responsible for supervising CITs. They will serve as a mentor and positive role model for CITs, helping them build leadership skills and learn how to be an effective counselor. Additionally, this position will assist the Program Manager and Camp Director with routine Wildwood tasks as needed when not prepping for future trips.
Teen Trip Leader: Teen Adventure Trip (Trek) Leaders facilitate groups of 8-12 teenagers on a series of week-long outdoor adventure trips throughout the Northeast, both in the front and backcountry. On each trip, two Trip Leaders work closely together to supervise and create a positive group environment where participants can learn, grow and develop leadership skills in an active outdoor setting. Schedules will typically run two or three weeks on trips followed by one week in camp. Trip Leaders also offer support in other Wildwood programs.
Overnight Camp Counselor: Camp counselors live and work directly with campers and strive to provide a safe and positive environment in which campers grow both personally and socially and explore nature. Counselors teach a variety of nature activities, arts and crafts, games and songs. Counselors with additional certifications may also apply to specialist positions as applicable. Applicants to specialist positions must meet Overnight Camp Counselor qualifications.
Lifeguard: Lifeguards work closely with the Waterfront Director to ensure the safe, engaging operation of Wildwood’s waterfront activities and programs. Wildwood operates a variety of small craft including canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, and sailboats as well as free swim every day.

Actual salary will reflect level of experience and qualifications relative to position requirements. Compensation includes housing and meals for the duration of employment. These are not benefits eligible positions.
Base salary for counselors starts at $600/week. Counselors with specialized skills can earn additional weekly pay.
