The Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) is looking for a recent grad or new educator interested in exploring the field of environmental education to join our passionate team. As part of the Outreach team you will plan, lead, and assist with youth, family, and adult outreach programs designed to educate about Adirondack ecosystems and responsible recreation. All while living and working in the beautiful High Peaks Region of New York State.

Summary

The Outreach Educator works as a part of ADK’s (Adirondack Mountain Club) Education team at the Heart Lake Program Center (HLPC) in Lake Placid, NY. This role is an exciting opportunity to grow your skillset as an educator and start to develop skills in program coordination. There are two major components to this dynamic position: environmental interpretation and program planning. As a member of the Outreach team, this role leads and supports educational programming that connects participants with the outdoors and promotes responsible recreation. This position also flexes to support the education department in fulfilling daily tasks, developing programming, and other duties as assigned.

Compensation Information

Salary/Wage: $15.50/hour
