Summary

The Auburn University Museum of Natural History (AUMNH) is seeking a creative, dynamic, and energetic administrator of its outreach and education programs. AUMNH is primarily a research museum that has a well-developed outreach program, a developing educational program (from pre-school to senior citizens), and a few limited exhibits. Examples of programs include tours, annual Open Houses, the semi-annual Bones and Boos Festival, the long-running Wehle Outdoor Education Program that gives students from historically excluded communities lessons in natural history, and a museum education course that students in the College of Education use to write lesson plans in Natural History. AUMNH also maintains an outreach animal collection consisting mainly of amphibians and reptiles.
