The Cooperative Nature School, located on the beautiful Moose Hill Farm in Sharon, is looking for a full-time EEC certified passionate Lead Teacher to join our team in the 3.9 to 5-year-old classroom, with an interest in outdoor education.

Our preschool offers an immersive, outdoor-focused curriculum where children explore, discover, and connect with the natural world. If you are looking to grow in the field of early childhood education and love the outdoors, this is a wonderful opportunity.

Summary

In this role, you will work alongside a Lead Teacher, an Assistant Teacher and a Trustees of the Reservation naturalist, hiking on miles of trails each morning with your 14 student and contributing to the smooth running of the classrooms at our historic farm house school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher to develop and implement a nature-based curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of 3.9 to 5-year-olds.
  • Lead and supervise a classroom of 14 students, ensuring their safety, engagement, and well-being.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages exploration and a love for nature.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress and experiences.
  • Adapt activities to suit changing weather conditions and seasonal changes, integrating nature into daily learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress, attendance, and any incidents.
