Role Description

Outdoor Education Teacher (Part-Time)

Location: Nature School LA, Los Angeles County, CA

Hours: 8:30am - 1:30pm/3pm, 27-30 hours per week

We are seeking a passionate Outdoor Education Teacher to lead nature-based learning experiences for children. The role involves planning and implementing outdoor activities, fostering a safe and engaging environment, and submitting remote lesson plans for approval. This position runs until the end of May with the potential to continue into the 2025-2026 school year.

 

Qualifications

  • Outdoor Education, Environmental Science, and Naturalist skills
  • Experience in leading outdoor activities and nature-based learning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, nurturing, and child-centered approach
  • Knowledge of local flora and fauna
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Have a reliable means of transportation
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Environmental Science, or related field/experience

Compensation Information

Pay depends on experience and education: $20.25 - $25 per hour
