Outdoor Educator

The ideal candidate will have experience as an outdoor educator, a passion and talent for teaching children of all ages about the natural world, the ability to develop student interest and enthusiasm for the outdoors, and the desire to design an exciting and robust outdoor education program to engage academically advanced K-8 students.

• Develops lessons and activities that have students learning outside in a natural environment (woods, creek, etc.) 
• Creates and maintains a learning environment in which all students are actively engaged with the natural world
• Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve an effective, safe outdoor learning atmosphere
• Collaborates with faculty members and administration to support the integration of outdoor learning into broader curriculum goals
• Communicates regularly and professionally with parents, colleagues, and leadership
