Summary
YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer’s purpose is to inspire and equip people to find their path, to unlock potential, and to create leaders of consequence. As a Program Instructor, you will be the spark that ignites curiosity and confidence in others. You’ll bring the magic of nature to life by leading discovery-based environmental lessons, challenge groups to step outside their comfort zones by facilitating both low and high ropes activities, and help participants uncover new passions through recreation-based activities like archery and candle making. Along the way, you’ll create a fun, welcoming, and safe environment where every participant feels encouraged, supported, and empowered.
Program Instructors will serve school and retreat groups during the fall and spring seasons and medical-based partner camps throughout the summer. No two days are the same - one day you might be guiding a nature hike or facilitating team building, and the next you could be soaring above the trees while leading zipline or high ropes programming for our summer campers. This role is perfect for those who thrive outdoors, love variety, and enjoy meaningful, hands-on work.
If you’re excited to work outside in all weather conditions, love connecting with people, and are eager to learn new skills while making a lasting impact, YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer is the place for you. Join our team to help create unforgettable experiences for our participants and yourself! Click here for the job description. To apply, please send a cover letter and resume to Sally Wright at swright@ymcapgh.org.
