Are you a creative, energetic, nature-loving teacher looking for a nurturing school to call home? Cocoplum Nature School, located in paradise, is currently hiring for a part-time facilitator position that could evolve into full-time starting in January 2026. Qualifications include experience in early childhood education, preferably in a nature-based or Reggio or Waldorf setting.

Summary

The primary purpose of the Cocoplum Nature Play Facilitator is to plan and implement unstructured free play in nature with preschool age children. Cocoplum Nature Play cultivates curiosity, creativity, independence, self-confidence, reverence for nature, and so much more in a twice weekly nature-based and play-based caregiver-and-me program for children roughly 3.5 to 5 years of age. Caregivers remain on-site and observe from a distance while children, under the supervision of facilitators, explore and play in nature. Two facilitators work in tandem to support exploration, wonderings, tree climbing, fort building, hole digging, duck following, and various other nature play activities.
