Summary
Duties include performing land management techniques, assisting with ongoing projects including development of displays, gardening, maintaining an aesthetically pleasing and safe environment around the interpretive building, grounds and trail system, assisting staff with daily duties including staffing major public events and teaching some ecology and outdoor programs for children, particularly K-6 grades grades and/or the general public.
Qualifications:
Successful applicants should possess self-motivation and a commitment to quality work. Good communications skills desired. A background in natural resources is helpful. Must be at least 18 years old and have valid drivers license. Most work will be performed outdoors and will require medium to heavy lifting at times. The position is 32 hours/week, Tuesday-Friday with occasional weekends and evenings. Position starts in May and runs through August.
