Summary
Part time hours b/a school (supervising children, maintenance, leading activities) with additional hours (developing curriculum) possible. Leading to full time hours (May to August). ECE student/grad, natural sciences and outdoor education experience (camp, lifeguarding, Scouts, Guides etc.) preferred. Full time (wage subsidy) possible for a current student or person 30 years of age or under - only open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents. On site daycare available. On site housing options.
- leading outdoor-based learning activities and facilitating student engagement with nature.
- specialized in teaching about the local environment, wildlife, and ecology.
- helping to manage the day-to-day operations of the nature-based school program.
- developing and implementing educational programs that engage students with the natural world.
- ensuring the facilities, equipment, and grounds of the nature-based school are well-maintained and safe for use.
- assisting with administrative tasks such as record-keeping, budgeting, and scheduling.
Compensation Information
Salary dependent on experience and projects worked on. Base salary $17.50/hour for part time staff. Subsidized on site daycare available. On site housing options. Additional $5000/term ($1250/m) + full tuition paid for ECE students.
