Nature-Based Early Childhood Educator

Conchitas is a new local organization offering nature-based play and outdoor learning for children ages 0-6 and their families. We create and lead low-cost programming to support child-led nature-based opportunities for learning and play for all children and families, and work for equitable nature access here in our community. Our programs are rooted in the belief that all children can benefit from nature, and that all families deserve equitable opportunities to access and explore nature together with their young ones. 

We are eager to grow our team of educators to include those with a current EEC teacher certification, or those who are able to obtain one within 30 days of hire, to help staff a new nature preschool program for our community. All of our programs are sliding scale tuition, child-led, play-based and take place mostly outdoors year round. We generlly run our program in seasonal sessions, but are open to year-round programs if we are able to staff them! We are still building the program hours and would love to hear about your availability. 

All educators must be at least 18 years old, First Aid/CPR certified and  able to pass a background and CORI check, and able to offer nature-based programming that aligns with our community agreements. Educators in our licensed programs must also be able to obtain EEC certification. To ensure representation across as many diversity dimensions as possible and in acknowledging the value of all lived experiences, we intentionally create space for educators with diverse educational and/or lived experience backgrounds that demonstrate a commitment to early childhood education and creating safe, nurturing spaces for young learners in outdoor spaces.
