This role combines hands-on teaching, mentorship, and family engagement in a collaborative outdoor preschool setting rooted in play, exploration, and connection to the natural world.

Summary

The Certified Lead Teacher is responsible for leading engaging, child-centered learning experiences while supporting classroom operations, mentoring teaching staff, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities include planning nature-based curriculum activities, supporting children’s social-emotional development, communicating with families, supervising daily routines, maintaining EEC compliance, and collaborating closely with co-teachers and site leadership to ensure high-quality program delivery.

Schedule & Structure
This is a salaried position based on a 24-hour work week. The role includes 15 hours of direct teaching and 9 hours of paid prep time dedicated to planning, documentation, family communication, and classroom preparation. Teaching hours are from 9:00-12:00 Monday through Friday.

Compensation Information
