Educate the public on fish, forest, and wildlife through a variety of media.
Essential Job Duties
- Create and present educational/interpretive programs both on and off site for various audiences on a wide variety of conservation subjects.
- Create interpretive materials pertaining to natural history, outdoor exhibits, conservation and ecology to supplement programs or temporary exhibits.
- Interact with public tour groups and individuals via telephone, email and in-person discussion.
- Oversee live animal reservations and provide animal care.
- Assist with managed hunts, special events, and other programs, as needed.
- Prepare classrooms, maintain material supplies, and replenish as needed.
- Perform facility inspections for routine cleanliness and maintenance.
- Supervise, direct, schedule, train, and evaluate staff and volunteers.
- Prepare expense reports and timesheets in a timely manner.
