Adventures Logistic Specialist
The Logistics Specialist position is responsible for helping manage logistics and packing for off-site adventure programs. This includes: Preparing, labeling, maintaining, cleaning, and upkeeping all adventure equipment, packing food and supplies, repairing gear, maintaining facilities, driving vans and trailers, assisting with adventure programing as needed. This position will be around students on the first and last days of programming helping check gear in and out. This position will include picking up students from the airport and also could include picking up students in an emergency or evacuation.

Camp EMT
The Camp EMT engages with our day, residential, and teen leadership programs. This position is the primary caregiver for each child while on KSS campus when scheduled, under the discretion and delegation of the Camp Nurse. Fellow staff, children, and guardians will rely on the Camp EMT to keep a safe and healthy community throughout the Summer. The Camp EMT will be expected to adhere to dynamic health guidance and risk management policy set by KSS.

Seasonal Camp Programs Assistant Manager
The Seasonal Camp Programs Assistant Manager is a five month position responsible for the successful implementation of Keystone Science School’s Camp Programs. The Camp Programs Assistant Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day camp operations and staff oversight with support from the Program Manager. Camp programs include but are not limited to Residential Summer Camp Programs, Summer Day Camp Programs, and Offseason Overnight, and Day Programs. The 2 Camp Programs Assistant Managers will each oversee 1 program area; either day camps or overnight camp. As part of the Camp Programs team, the Seasonal Camp Programs Assistant Manager will oversee logistics, develop curriculum, serve as points of contact to clients, collaborate with other administrative staff, support program needs as they arise, and assist in managing seasonal staff. This position will also provide oversight, mentorship, and management to program staff, which includes hiring, training, and coaching.

Adventure Instructor
Adventure Instructors are responsible for planning and facilitating curriculum and activities during field-based programs. Adventure Instructors are familiar with the daily schedule, risk management practices, emergency action plans, and the overall energy of Adventure programs. They are responsible for guiding students in their personal growth and daily living skills. Adventure Instructors also help manage logistics and packing for off-site programs on a rotating basis.

Day Camp Counselor
Day Camp Counselors are responsible for facilitating a wide variety of curricula and activities. They are the primary caregiver for each child attending programming, and are responsible for guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills, and having as much fun as possible exploring and adventuring on the KSS campus and throughout Summit County.

Pathfinder Counselor
Pathfinders is an adventure day camp for middle school aged campers with 3 themes: Rock, Horse, and Water. Pathfinders counselors are responsible for facilitating a wide variety of curricula and activities. Pathfinders counselors also to go through KSS’s rock climbing training and must have prior rock climbing experience. Pathfinders counselors are the primary caregiver for each child attending programming, and are responsible for guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills.

Discovery Camp Overnight Counselor
Discovery Camp Counselors work with the Overnight program. This position is responsible for teaching and facilitating a wide variety of fun and exciting summer program activities. This position is the primary caregiver for each child. They are also responsible for guiding children in their personal growth and daily living skills. It is the responsibility of Discovery Overnight Camp Counselors to be completely familiar with the daily schedule and their camper’s individual and group needs.

Discovery Overnight Camp Lead
The Discovery Overnight Camp Lead works with Overnight Discovery Camp programs, serving a maximum of 90 campers per session. The primary responsibility of the Overnight Camp Lead is to provide the necessary logistic support for programs to run smoothly. The Overnight Camp Leads will help support staff by providing tools for Counselors to maintain a positive and safe environment for children. They are responsible for creating schedules and trail groups, communicating with outside contractors, teaching, coordinating, and facilitating a variety of summer program activities. They are also responsible for guiding children in their personal growth and daily living skills. The Discovery Overnight Camp Lead can expect to work 5-6 days per week and can expect long summer camp days of up to 16 hours per day.
