Summary

I am pleased to announce a fully-funded M.S. research assistantship focused on environmental education evaluation, working with me (Professor Marc J. Stern) within the Department of Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation at Virginia Tech.  The student will focus on evaluation and programmatic improvement of residential five-day environmental education programs at the NorthBay Adventure Center in North East, MD.  The assistantship includes a stipend for living expenses (approximately $29,000 per year), full tuition, and all travel costs associated with the research. The program requires full-time enrollment as a student at Virginia Tech and is designed to lead to a Master of Science degree culminating in Fall/Winter of 2025.

Qualifications: Excellent writing and analytical skills, flexibility, a strong desire to learn, comfort with extended periods of travel, and prior experience in Environmental Education, ideally with urban populations in the United States.

End date: December, 2025
