Would you like to work on the water this year and teach students about the environment on a historic Maryland Chesapeake Bay vessel? We are looking for talented outdoor educators to work on the Mildred Belle, a 1948 wooden vessel that sails the Patapsco River and Chesapeake Bay teaching students and adults about the environment and their local history.

Summary

We are actively looking for a Mate (unlicensed) for an April to November season. As a crew member you would assist the captain with safe vessel operations, teach students and members of the public, and facilitate maintenance projects.  Crew members on the Mildred Belle provide high quality, safe, and hands-on experiences for all who sail onboard this historic vessel.

The 2023 salaries:

Mildred Belle mate - $1320/bi-weekly ($16.50/hr)
Mildred Belle Educational Coordinator - $1320/bi-weekly ($16.50/hr)
Mildred Belle deckhand/educator- $1200/bi-weekly ($15/hour)
