Manage the land, research, professionals, and student team at Calvin University's 104-acre on-campus preserve property, which includes some of Michigan's most diverse native gardens. Join a team committed to stewarding the land, developing college students, welcoming neighbors, and increasing extension outreach.

Summary

The managing director’s primary day-to-day responsibility is land management and conservation research operations at the Calvin Ecosystem Preserve and Native Gardens and the Flat Iron Lake Preserve. With the preserve director, the managing director will supervise and coordinate the work of other permanent staff members. Duties include, but are not limited to, developing, updating, and implementing land management plans; directing and coordinating ecological research and monitoring; developing and implementing extension outreach programs; supervising regular staff and some student staff; and additional duties as assigned.

Compensation Information

Salary: $60,000-$70,000, commensurate with experience
