Summary
Lifeguarding and Conference Center Shifts in West Marin (Summer 2024)
Positions available at Marin County Office of Education’s Walker Creek Ranch, a west Marin Outdoor Education and Conference Center located about 30 minutes west of Novato and Petaluma. Shifts beginning in June with more frequent weekday and weekend shifts available from July through the end of August 2024.
Walker Creek Ranch hosts various groups through out the summer season ranging from summer and family camps to large adult retreats. We have a wonderful team of year-round staff who are knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. Meals are catered in our beautiful dining hall. Food is made available to staff. Housing is also available for those interested in consistent summer employment.
If you are a current Red Cross certified lifeguard, waterfront instruction and certification can be coordinated onsite I'm early June before the season begins.
Lifeguard ($22.57/hour) supports the conference center and hospitality services by overseeing waterfront activities at our 4-acre pond. A current American Red Cross Lifeguard certificate is required (additional open water certification and/or WFR a plus). Reimbursement for lifeguard recertification and/or training may be available.
Conference Helper ($19.49/hour) supports the conference center and hospitality services by setting up, cleaning and breaking down lodging and meeting rooms, supporting dining hall and kitchen during mealtimes, and working with conference guests.
*It is possible to work in both capacities throughout the summer.
Expect 32-40 hours per week in the month of July. June and August hours may vary Creating more flexibilty to explore the area.
Room and board may be available for those interested in consistent summer employment.
