Join our dynamic team as a Summer Camp Intern and embark on an exciting journey of learning and growth! As an intern, you'll play a role in creating memorable experiences for campers while gaining invaluable skills and experiences yourself.

Summary

 Help teach a variety of science and ecological programs, both on and off-site during an intensive 4-week environmental summer camp. Assist our Lead Staff Counselors with program trips, care of campers before and after camp, and program delivery to second through eighth grades. Lead games, crafts, and field trips to area wildlife locations such as beaches, swamps, and parks. Summer camp interns will also assist in delivering outreach programs using the Conservancy’s STEM Learning Adventures Bus (LAB), a mobile classroom designed to bring hands-on science fun to the community.

  • Assist lead staff counselors with program activities
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment where campers can learn, explore, and build friendships.
  • Assist supervising campers and manage behavior
  • Assist planning age-appropriate activities for campers
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Serve as a responsible counselor and positive role model for campers.

Compensation Information

$300 bi-weekly pay. Housing Provided. Summer Internship (Late May- Early August).
