Summary
In the field, HoWL Instructors teach fundamental wilderness skills, such as fire-building and basic navigation, along with skills associated with the particular trip activities. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: acting silly, teaching camp cooking skills, distribution of hi-fives, leading by example, and preparations/cleanup before and after every trip. HoWL instructors also support participants to be leaders themselves by teaching about the diversity of styles and personalities that make great leaders.
Requirements: Successful applicants will have:
*Wilderness First Responder certification
*Must pass a background check
*A passion for environmental education and outdoor adventure
*A dedication to fun
*Backcountry expedition or wilderness experience (guiding experience preferred)
*Ability to work and manage risks in remote and semi-remote wilderness locations
*Competency in fundamental outdoors skills

Compensation Information
