Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support lead teachers across multiple classrooms.
  • Engage with children through play, exploration, and conversation.
  • Support the daily rhythm of the classroom, including snack, rest, transitions, and outdoor exploration.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.

  • Be responsive to the individual needs of children and contribute to a warm, respectful, and inclusive school culture.

Requirements:

  • Must be qualified in the state of New Hampshire to work unsupervised with children, which includes:
    • Coursework in Human Growth and Development
    • Prior experience working with children (experience may include parenting, nannying, teaching, or work as a camp counselor)
  • Genuine interest in child development and play-based, outdoor education
  • Comfortable spending extended periods of time outdoors in all types of weather
  • Reliable, communicative, and team-oriented
  • Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and routines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia philosophy and/or forest school approach
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience working in early childhood education settings
