Summary
Do you enjoy fishing, hunting, backcountry travel and survival? Interested in teaching these skills to campers? Then Greenland Point is the place for you! Nestled on the banks of Long Lake in Princeton, Maine, Greenland Point is a residential summer camp for children ages 7 to 15. Greenland Point offers a variety of programs including Hunter Safety Education, Fishing, Junior Maine Woodscraft, Naturalist and much more. Staff work in pairs to deliver quality outdoor programming for our week long summer camp programs.
Qualifications: ● Minimum of 18 years of age ● Previous camp experience or working with youth preferred ● Must have a desire to work with various age groups ● Must be a positive role model ● Good communication skills ● Interest or background in the outdoors: hiking, nature, hunting, fishing, canoeing, etc. ● Willing to live and work in a community setting with changing program needs and focuses. ● Attend a week-long staff training prior to the start of camp.
Responsibilities: ● Lead programs for various ages, Sunday through Friday ● Supervise campers and ensure safety and risk management policies are followed. ● Plan lessons, lead activities, mentor campers, and provide opportunities for campers to learn and explore the outdoors through high-quality experiences. ● Perform camp chores that benefit the greater community. ● Attend staff meetings and debriefs as scheduled. ● Provide basic first aid as needed ● Some staff will also be lifeguards, shooting sports instructors, trip leaders, or other leadership roles as warranted, and agreed upon, based on training. ● Occasional bunk duty, or campsite coverage depending on the program

Compensation Information
Schedule and Compensation:
● Typically Sunday through Friday, with occasional weekend programming.
● Sunday 10:00 a.m.-Friday 2 p.m. unless otherwise scheduled
● Daily time off
● 8 weeks of camp programs plus 1 week of staff training
● Room and Board are included
Salaries start at $500 per week with increases based on prior experience and training
