Summary
Environmental Education Internship
Fall 2026 (Boulder, CO)
Growing Gardens is seeking a Fall Season Environmental Education Intern to support field trips, classroom visits, and community outreach in the Children’s Peace Garden from August 18–October 30, 2026 (15 hours per week). Interns teach topics such as plant life cycles, planting and garden care, insects, pollination, composting, animal husbandry, and healthy eating while gaining hands-on experience in farm-based education, group management, communication, and working with neurodivergent youth. Interns also participate in gleaning at the Boulder County Farmers Market and assist with community outreach.
The internship includes a $400 completion stipend, eligibility for university credit, and a weekly share of fresh seasonal vegetables. Interns work any three days Tuesday–Friday (morning hours) and receive mentorship, evaluations, and access to professional development opportunities.
