Salmon Valley Stewardship (SVS) is seeking a community-oriented and conservation-minded individual eager to coordinate and oversee all organization operations, increase organization fundraising, provide leadership to support achievement of SVS’s mission, vision, and organizational goals, and promote community partnerships and innovative conservation efforts in the Salmon River Region of Central Idaho.

The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing SVS’s operations, supporting staff in the implementation and delivery of strategic objectives and project work, and leading fundraising strategies. This leader should be passionate about rural livelihoods and quality of life, rural development through land stewardship and community driven projects, and bringing diverse voices together to benefit the land, communities, and future generations. The Director works with SVS’s Associate Director to oversee operations, budget, and program development. The Director will report to the Chair of the Board of Directors and will be evaluated by the Board Executive Committee. As the principal spokesperson of SVS, the Director must maintain positive relationships with members of the community and display high standards of integrity and professionalism.
