The Environmental Educator will work as part the Education and Community Programs team throughout Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Educators will be trained in and deliver programs on a variety of topics including watersheds, water quality, environmental issues, ecosystems, wildlife, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with implementing in-person educational programming for K-12 students at local schools and/or Heritage Conservancy preserves throughout Bucks County. Support programming, especially in Bristol Township School District.
• Engage community members in interactive educational activities at public programs and tabling events with partner organizations.
• Lead small groups of students in hands-on activities tied to various curricular themes such as watersheds, ecosystems and more.
• Guide small groups on hikes through preserves based on program needs with the Education and Community Programs Team to deliver high quality
• Work closely programs that are responsive to school community needs.
• Maintain any necessary documentation for programming and activities via photos and data collection for communications and reporting purposes.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in environmental science, education, related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least one year of experience working with children and/or delivering public programming.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Superior interpersonal skills with a commitment to cultural diversity and inclusive programming.
• Computer skills including use of Google Workspace and Microsoft Word and Excel.
Schedule is variable, with most programs occurring during weekdays between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Occasional evening and weekend hours available.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle, and possess a valid driver’s license to travel to various locations in and near Bucks County, PA.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions including rough terrain and varying weather conditions.
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Successful candidate will be required to pass Pennsylvania child abuse clearances.
• Attend required training on August 19th
. Commit to assisting on at least 25 hours of programming support across a calendar year.
