Looking for experience as an environmental educator? Join our team of dedicated educators and help raise awareness of one of Albany’s greatest natural treasures! The Environmental Educator position at the Albany Pine Bush Preserve teaches a diversity of audiences about the ecology as well as natural and human history of the Albany Pine Bush and how this rare landscape is maintained today through ecological management techniques including prescribed fire.

Summary

The Albany Pine Bush Preserve Commission (APBPC) in Albany, NY is seeking a dynamic person to serve as an Environmental Educator. This part-time position is a member of the APBPC Education Department and works to implement a comprehensive education program for the Albany Pine Bush Preserve in alignment with the APBPC Management Plan and Community Connection Initiative.

The Environmental Educator brings a background in nature study, education and interpretation that can be applied to the work of the APBPC Education Department including both in-person and virtual interpretive and educational programming, publications, and opportunities for community engagement.

Compensation Information

$23.00/hour, 26 hours/week
