Want to help share the wonder? Environmental Educators, Naturalists and Interns with the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies connect people of all ages to unique educational experiences featuring Alaska's forests, diverse rocky beaches, geology and cultural history.

Summary

Do you enjoy getting people excited about our natural world? As an Environmental Educator, Naturalist or Intern with the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies, you'll have the opportunity to share your energy and enthusiasm by leading educational programs for children, school groups, locals, and visitors to Alaska. As a non-profit environmental education and stewardship organization, the CACS mission is to foster responsible interaction with our natural surroundings and to generate knowledge of the unique ecosystems of Kachemak Bay. Seasonal staff are employed in these five unique locations: the Wynn Nature Center (a 145-acre boreal forest preserve), Inspiration Ridge Preserve (a stunning mosaic of forest, bogs, meadows, ponds and creeks), Peterson Bay Field Station (a semi-rustic facility across Kachemak Bay and accessible only by boat), Yurt on the Spit (exploration of invertebrate life living on and around the Homer harbor docks), and the CACS Headquarters Building in downtown Homer (where day camp starts and ends each day).
