The Housatonic Valley Association seeks an Environmental Education Coordinator to lead and grow our environmental education work across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York. The coordinator will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of HVA’s environmental education programming in collaboration with HVA staff and community partners. This role is central to advancing HVA’s core initiatives: Follow the Forest and Clean, Cold & Connected with emphasis on the climate crisis and habitat connectivity, by engaging people of diverse ages, backgrounds, and communities throughout the Housatonic Watershed. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about environmental education, excited to connect people with place, and motivated to contribute meaningfully to conservation and climate resilience through community-based education.

Compensation Information

The starting annual salary range for this full-time position is $55,000 - $63,000, dependent on experience. Benefits include health insurance, 403(b) retirement plan with employer match, life and short-term disability insurance, paid holidays, paid time off, and remote work flexibility. This position will require some evening and weekend work, and selected candidates must live within the watershed or be willing to relocate upon hiring. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. A background check will be required.
