This position is located with the Forest Service, State and Private Forestry, Director, Conservation Education in the Washington Office. The incumbent administers a professional development and training program designed to support the Forest Service's Environmental Education strategic objectives.
Summary
Duties
- Responsibilities listed below are at the full performance level GS-13.
- Promote innovative environmental education methods, techniques, and approaches.
- Analyze, develop, implement, and evaluate an environmental education/training program.
- Direct, guide, and integrate team members engaged in environmental education and training-related projects.
- Responsible for accurate accounting and execution of grants and agreements with local, state, and non-governmental organizations in accordance with financial management procedures.
- Publish articles and provide information related to environmental or natural resources education.
- Write reports, presentations, and briefings in succinct and organized manner to convey complex or sensitive information.
- Coordinate with appropriate staff and partners to promote environmental education efforts and related initiatives.
