Summary
Position Overview
The Logan School for Creative Learning is seeking Environmental Education Overnight Trip Assistants for extended field trips departing from Denver, Colorado during fall 2024. EE Trip Assistants accompany Logan staff members on trips both within Colorado and out-of-state for multi-day, place-based learning experiences. Responsibilities include supporting trip leaders in various capacities, including preparing and managing meals, student supervision, and interacting with 3rd-8th grade students in an age-appropriate manner. Trip assistants are expected to be present and engaged for the duration of the daily itinerary. Trips often include adventure elements such as camping, hiking, rafting, and swimming.
The ideal applicant will:
- Have previous experience working with children
- Have experience and enthusiasm for group camping
- Be able to pass a background check
- Live within commuting distance of Denver
- Be physically fit enough to participate in strenuous exercise and activity including but not limited to hiking, swimming, rafting, etc.
Dates of Employment
Field trip dates are August 26-30, September 9-13, September 23-25, September 23-27, October 21-23, and October 23-25. Applicants need to be available for the duration of a field trip, but not necessarily every trip of the fall season.

Compensation Information
EE Trip Assistants will receive a stipend of $150 per day plus food and lodging during the dates of the trips. This is not a benefits eligible position.
