Educators get to work at a variety of exhibits like our touch pools ensuring guests learn something new every visit and properly engage with our animals. This position will also check-in school groups and assist with school programming, camps, and more.

Summary

We are hiring an Educator l with high degree of concentration and attention to detail to join our education team! These part time educators help with programs, camps, and engage with guests to share our conservation message. We rely on educators to provide safe learning environments for programs for all ages. Our education department puts on many great events like birthday parties, overnights, and animal encounters. We provide animal handling training so our educators can present a variety of small mammals, birds, reptiles, and more.

Johnny Morris' Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium is the largest, most-immersive fish and wildlife attraction in the world. The facility consists of a 1.5-million-gallon Aquarium Adventure showcasing 35,000 live fish, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds, and immersive Wildlife Galleries sharing the story of America's most significant conservationists throughout history and today. A day in the life of an Educator l

Daily duties include possible live animal handling for encounters, maintaining clean and organized exhibit spaces, and completing daily animal reports for live animal exhibits. The educator 1 position works closely with the educator 2 and lead positions and will report to the education manager.

Compensation Information

This part time position pays $15 per hour and employees can work up to 30 hours a week.
