 Job Summary: Join Red Butte Garden’s School Programs team in connecting K-12 students with nature through informal education!  Share your passion for the outdoors and environment to school aged kids during field trips, classroom visits, and more.  Gain valuable experience planning and teaching school programs and seasonal events.  Must enjoy being outdoors, informal education, and working with school aged children. This position will be planning, preparing for, and leading field trips within the Garden during most of the week and also leading off-site classroom visits.

A free public transportation pass is provided during employment (see here for more information).
 Responsibilities: 

 

  • Teaching on and off-site school programs to elementary school students
  • Assisting in the daily operations by maintaining supplies, facilities, and equipment
  • Assisting the Programs department with other activities, programs, and seasonal events as needed.

Must enjoy being outdoors, informal education, and working with school aged children. Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills are also required.

  • Enjoy teaching/leading school aged children, primarily ages K-6th grade
