Summary

As a nonprofit organization committed to preserving the natural wonders of the South Carolina coast, we've been making a difference since 1996.  Our innovative education initiatives reach hundreds of students each year, fostering a deep appreciation for our coastal ecosystems and empowering young minds to become lifelong stewards of the environment.

As the Education Programs Coordinator, you'll have the unique opportunity to blend classroom learning with real-world experiences, utilizing the rich biodiversity of the Francis Marion National Forest and the Waccamaw, Cape Romain, and E.F. Hollings ACE Basin National Wildlife Refuges.  By integrating SC Department of Education standards into our curriculum, you'll ensure that students receive a comprehensive and engaging educational experience.

Your responsibilities will encompass teaching, program coordination, and development, as well as impact assessment and outreach efforts.  You'll collaborate closely with schools, volunteers, and researchers to create dynamic learning environments that spark curiosity and inspire action.

We're seeking a candidate with a Master's degree in Biology, Science Education, Environmental Science, or a related field, coupled with at least three years of teaching experience in an environmental education setting.  Your passion for the natural world, coupled with strong leadership and communication skills, will drive our programs forward.
