We are seeking a strong writer and collaborative leader to serve as Education Support Manager. This key position will assist in the planning, organization, design, and implementation of field trips and other educational programs. They will also support ITO’s partnership work with funders and government agencies.
Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of Inside the Outdoors programs.
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals, objectives, and strategic plan.
- Develop curriculum, administrative manuals, and forms.
- Assist in writing grant proposals and reports.
- Create surveys, analyze data, and compile reports to assess program effectiveness.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and coach assigned staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, environmental science, nonprofit management, or a related field
- Two (2) years of prior experience working with an environment education program or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Highly preferred: One (1) year of experience leading the design of standards-aligned environmental education field trips, collaborating with funding partners, writing grant proposals and reports, and/or supervising environmental education staff.

Compensation Information
Annual Salary range from $91,284-$111,267 (Classified Management Range 17), with placement within the range dependent on experience.
