Education Interpreter I- Seasonal

Education Interpreter I is a front-line Aquarium Educator, responsible for delivering high-quality and hands-on interpretive daily programs for the South Carolina Aquarium's visitors. This is a part-time position with a season that runs from May 1st-September 5th 2022. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

*Outstanding interpretive skills
*Ability to work with audiences of all ages
*Must be able to give interpretive talks to groups of 10-200 people
*Skills needed to combine creativity, enthusiasm, and exemplary teaching methods to engage visitors in science related activities
*Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
*Must be a team player and self-motivated
*Ability to maintain a sense of humor
*Must be able to handle live animals
*Professional image required
*Must have a working knowledge of Aquarium exhibits and animals
*Ability to work weekends and evenings
