Summary

Holden Forests & Gardens is seeking a friendly, energetic Education Instructor to lead play-based, nature-focused summer camps for preschoolers at both Holden Arboretum (Kirtland) and Cleveland Botanical Garden (Cleveland). This part-time, seasonal role (12–15 hours/week, $15/hour) is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education, outdoor exploration, and hands-on learning. Instructors will deliver engaging hikes, crafts, games, and discovery activities while ensuring a safe, joyful, and supportive environment for campers ages 4–6.

Camps run June 2–July 23 (Tuesday–Thursday, 8:15 a.m.–12:30 p.m.) with mandatory paid training May 26–29. Candidates must be at least 18, have experience working with young children, possess reliable transportation to both campuses, and be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for those pursuing careers in early childhood, environmental education, or related fields to gain meaningful experience in a mission-driven organization dedicated to building a greener, healthier Northeast Ohio.
