Summary
Full Time, Hybrid (1 to 2 days per week in-person in the Washington, D.C. office)

Responsibilities:
● Partnership Leadership: Lead the identification, outreach, and development of strategic partnerships with schools, educational networks, and global education stakeholder organizations to expand EDO's educational footprint.
● Curriculum & Materials Development: Lead and contribute to the conceptualization, design, and writing of high-quality climate education materials, including standards-aligned curricula, educational toolkits, and advocacy packets.
● Social Media Management: Act as the lead manager for the Earth Day Educators social media accounts, creating engaging content to interact with, grow, and support our global network of teachers.
● Development Support: Collaborate with the development team to support proposal writing, grant applications, and fundraising efforts to secure resources for global education programs.
● General Team Support: Support the broader education team in developing general materials, reports, and administrative resources to streamline program delivery.
● Intern Supervision: Supervise, support, and communicate with interns to guide the production, editing, and quality control of educational resources.
● Outreach & Travel: Support the education team by attending conferences to drive educator outreach and represent EDO's objectives. Occasional travel is required.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in education, sustainability, environmental science, or a related field.
● Demonstrated track record of success in partnership development and stakeholder relationship management.
● Experience in either developing K-12 curriculum or designing impactful outreach materials.
● Strong working knowledge of environmental and climate issues, with the ability to effectively translate complex technical data into accessible educational concepts.
● Experience managing professional social media accounts, digital content creation, or community-building platforms.
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with global partners and thrive in a hybrid team environment.
● Deep passion for environmental justice, climate literacy, and education.
