Live and work in Wisconsin's beautiful Northwoods! Trees For Tomorrow works with thousands of teachers, students, and other members of the public from all across Wisconsin to promote sustainable natural resource management through transformative educational experiences. This position works with all our audiences, but focuses on our youngest community members. This role will coordinate and teach our year-long "KinderWild Camp" as well as youth summer programs.

Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Teach environmental science to preK-12 groups in the forests and waters of Wisconsin’s Northwoods
  • Work with education team to write and edit curriculum and assess student learning
  • Create and teach engaging and age-appropriate curriculum for KinderWild Camp (KWC) and summer youth programs. 

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, biology, education, or related field preferred, though relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education. 

  • 1-3 years experience in environmental education, general education, or natural sciences
  • 1-3 years experience working with youth ages 3-10 
  • Current valid driver’s license.
  • Good organizational skills and self-motivated.
  • Ability to walk 5 miles per day with a 10lb pack over rough terrain, and lift 25 lbs. overhead
  • Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) and First Aid certification to be obtained within 6 months of employment

Compensation Information

$31,200/year
