Day Camp Director/Assistant Director

Killens Pond State Park is natural gem tucked in central Delaware's agricultural communities. Featuring a 66-acre millpond, vast hardwood forests, popular waterpark and LEED-certified nature center, Killens Pond State Park is full of adventures.

Camps available this summer include

Day Camp Director/Assistant Director is responsible for planning lessons, coordinating activities and work weekly themed summer adventure camps at Killens Pond State Park. Essential functions include:

• Develops and conducts environmental education and recreational programs 
• Oversees programs and camps during summer months
• Assists with programming 
• Assists with various tasks to enhance and promote the park.
• Supervises summer staff and volunteers, coordinates schedules, trainings, programs for staff

Requirements:

1. Must be at least 20 years of age.
2. One-year experience working in a camp program for children or young adults.
3. One-year experience in supervising groups, staff or volunteers.
4. Knowledge of various recreational activities such as hiking, mountain biking, boating, rock climbing or swimming.
5. Knowledge of local plants, animals or history.
6. Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
