Do you have a curious mind that loves storytelling? Appalachian Conservation Corps and the National Park Service are seeking a Cultural Resource Information Sharing Individual Placement to tell the many stories of the diverse communities that exist within the United States, past and present.

Summary

Appalachian Conservation Corps and the National Capital Region are seeking a Cultural Resource Information Sharing Individual Placement to tell the many stories of the diverse communities that exist within the United States, past and present.

This year long AmeriCorps position will work to provide Cultural Resource Management (CRM)-related support to the parks and partners in the National Capital Region through the development of reports and communications materials, fact sheets, web content and other media concerning National Park cultural resources topics that could range from archeology, anthropology, and history to historic architecture and cultural landscapes. Through their work, the intern will support the transfer of knowledge from historians and other cultural resource specialists to national park staff who rely on this information to make informed decisions about cultural resource care and broaden the park's storytelling. The position will work with cultural resource programs serving national parks in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and portions of West Virginia.
