Do you have a passion for nature, being outdoors, mentoring teens, and working with community members? The Tualatin Hills Nature Center is seeking a team-oriented, nature enthusiast to create quality community engagement and workforce training experiences for youth in the Beaverton area. This is a fantastic employment opportunity for individuals looking to work in the community inspiring youth and teens to connect with nature. This is a year-round position working with our Nature Mobile community engagement program, focusing on youth mentoring and community partnerships. Environmental education experience is preferred but not required for this position. You must be 16 years old to apply; you must love working with kids; and you must be able to work outside, rain or shine.

Summary

The Environmental Education Director is responsible for the development and implementation of assigned nature programs. Incumbents in this job classification work independently, within established guidelines, to develop, coordinate, supervise, and instruct the day-to-day activities of assigned nature program areas and provide lead direction to assigned part-time staff and volunteers.
