[CLOSED] Nature Center Host (part-time)

Position details: Latta Nature Preserve is seeking an interpretive host to facilitate guest experiences at the Quest nature center facility in Huntersville. This position will be responsible for customer service and engagement on Fridays and Saturdays. This is a part-time permanent position with up to 19 hours per week. Hourly pay starting at $20. Work includes weekends and some evenings.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and provide orientation/information for visitors to the nature preserve.
• Engage with visitors through educational programming.
• Assist with nature center duties including facility rentals and programs as needed.

Qualifications:

• Enrollment in, or completion of a bachelor’s degree in relevant field (environment, education, or recreation)
• OR
• Two years relevant work experience in a customer-focused educational or environmental field

• Self-motivated and passionate about parks, recreation, and nature
• Willing to learn and take chances
• Able to obtain Certified Interpretive Host within first year of employment
