Summary
The Field Education/Wildlife Expeditions (FE/WE) Adult Program Assistant provides support for several Teton Science Schools adult oriented programs. Working with the FE Adult and Family Faculty and WE Supervisor, the Program Assistant creates and manages systems that ensure high quality and efficient customer service and education for these adult oriented programs. The FE/WE PA will work more closely with the Field Education department of TSS for Winter and Summer programs and the Wildlife Expeditions department for Spring and Fall programs. The support will shift seasonally between the programs, but involves similar tasks for each. The FE/WE Adult Program Assistant creates and manages systems that ensure high quality and efficient customer service for these adult and family programs. This position is also responsible for providing that customer service directly to participants both before arrival and during program time.

Qualifications:
General:
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driving license
Successful applicants must pass a criminal history background check and driving record review prior to start date
Confident driving 15 passenger vans, mini-buses, and canoe trailers on occasion, to transport participants
Willingness to work non-traditional work weeks including occasional weekends and evenings, and split shifts
Interest in and experience working with adult learners
Program Admin:
Experience with Google Suite of applications
Willingness to learn new computer programs/platforms utilized to gather and organize participant releases and medical forms
Superior organizational skills, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience leading meetings and managing a diverse array of details
Customer service experience a plus
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Programming primarily based out of Murie Ranch and Jackson Campus - sometimes at WE warehouse - of Teton Science Schools
Primarily indoors in an office setting: sitting and standing for long stretches while using a computer
Stretches of time outdoors in all weather, including extreme temperatures and arid conditions
Ability to confidently drive fifteen passenger vans, canoe trailers and mini-buses to transport participants, staff and equipment to field sites.
Responsibilities:
Pre-Program Logistical Support
Process & organize participant forms - including critical medical information - and registration materials for program participants
Initiate phone calls to upcoming participants regarding medical concerns
Respond to phone inquiries regarding upcoming programs
Create and edit program materials such as schedules, information packets, and rooming lists
Gather specific dietary needs to communicate with kitchen staff and WE admin as appropriate
Proofread program materials for print and for website
Program Support & Customer Service
Provide excellent customer service for participants before and during their program
Help check in participants, outfit them with gear, and orient them to campus or trip.
Serve as a logistical assistance for staff of FE and WE
Problem solve & quickly amend any issues that arise throughout programs
Based upon seasonal programmatic needs, be present at programming sites (Murie Ranch, Jackson Campus, WE warehouse) to provide on-the-ground support as needed
Overall Program Support
Work with the WE admin team to coordinate and manage administrative tasks (e.g., long-term scheduling, in-person tasks, payroll reporting for all staff, etc..
Work with FE lead and collaborate with partner organizations to create contracts, manage program logistics, and oversee contract fulfillment.

Compensation Information
Benefits:
Hourly rate ranges between $18.50 and $22.00 depending upon experience
