Reporting to the Dean of Duke's Nicholas School of the Environment, this new position has primary oversight for the Duke Endowment Climate University Grant, overseeing and supporting all activities. A background in and experience with climate-related subject matter is needed. This position will work closely with Sustainable Duke, Duke Office of Community Affairs, and the newly merged Energy Initiative/Nicholas Institute of Env. Policy Solutions.

The Climate Program Manager has primary oversight of managing for and ensuring the programmatic success of the Duke Endowment Climate University Grant. S/he will oversee all activities and provide support as needed to ensure all activities are carried out to meet timelines and achieve stated objectives. A background and in experience in climate related subject matter is needed.

Broad categories of effort include (a) operations, administration, and project management of Climate University programming (40%); (b) financial oversite, grant administration, budget planning (30%); (c) event planning, coordination, and support (20%), and (d) program evaluation (10%). Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training:
Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.

Experience:
Work requires the ability to plan and administer programs and direct program activities within a specific functional area, generally acquired through four years of related experience.

OR ANY OTHER EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
