Summary
Survey sensitive plants and pollinators in known and established monitoring plots within the BLM-VFO boundaries in accordance with VFO protocol. These protocols will provide information to assess changes in sensitive plant and pollinator population densities. This information will help inform USFWS listing considerations under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Additionally, this position will assist with Rangeland Health monitoring in each of the following allotments: Island Park, Rupple Cabin and McCoy Flats. Inventory for special status plant species in support of the John Wesley Powell National Conservation Area. Research shows that candidates from underrepresented populations often don’t apply for positions if they don’t meet all the position qualifications and skill sets.

Compensation Information
(1) Specific dates will be worked out between BLM and candidate with respect to minimum hour requirements.
(2) Living allowance stipend is taxable and is disbursed on a bimonthly basis through Utah State University. Forbearance on qualifying student loans may also be an option while in service.
