Westbrook Nature School, a licensed, nature-based, nonprofit preschool in Redding, CT, is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher for our Mixed-Age Kindergarten (ages 3-6) for the 2025-26 school year. Assistant Teacher Position at Nature-Based Preschool

Westbrook Nature School, now in its eleventh year, offers a truly unique teaching experience for those passionate about early childhood education and the natural world. We are seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher for our Mixed-Age Kindergarten (ages 3 to 6) for the 2025-26 school year.

Located on 6 acres in beautiful Redding, CT, Westbrook is a licensed, outdoor, nature-based, nonprofit preschool where learning happens in rain, sunshine, snow, mud, and wind. Here, every day is an adventure in the outdoors! Teachers should be ready to embrace full mornings outdoors, experiencing all types of weather, able to work collaboratively with colleagues, and assist with all aspects of daily activities, including snack preparation and classroom maintenance.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position running from late August through early June.

Mon/Wed/Fri: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Tues/Thurs: 8:00 AM – 12:45 PM
