The Site Steward is based at Professor Valley Field Camp, a rustic facility on private land located 20 miles from Moab, UT. The camp is surrounded by open space, world class views, and spectacular night skies. Desired Term of Service: March 1st - June 30th, 2023. Living stipend of $6552.00 paid out in equal installments.

Summary

The position is designed to support ongoing Outdoor Education (OE) programs and facility upgrades funded by Utah Outdoor Recreation infrastructure grants. The Site Steward is based at Professor Valley Field Camp, a rustic facility on private land located 20 miles from Moab, Utah. The camp is surrounded by open space, world class views, and spectacular night skies. Desired Term of Service: March 1st - June 30th, 2023.  Living stipend of $6552.00 paid out in equal installments.

The Site Steward works individually and with large groups, and is responsible for various field camp facility upkeep, such as: grounds and trails maintenance, permaculture and drip irrigation improvements, as well as equipment servicing. When outdoor education programming is in season, the Site Steward will also be assisting in-field staff with meals, driving shuttles and aid program activity needs. The position will also support operations upon occasion at the CFI warehouse in town. Supervision will be by CFI's Operations Director and program managers.
